Helicopter Spirals Wildly into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Shoreline
A helicopter soaring near a popular southern California coastline unexpectedly began spiraling uncontrollably, finally descending rapidly and plunging into a row of palm fronds as spectators looked on.
Videos shared online depict the chopper commencing to spiral over the beach then falling towards the perimeter of the shore, where it gets stuck amidst palm trees and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
The Huntington Beach fire department said five individuals were taken to hospital comprising a pair who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the crash on that day.
Three individuals on the pavement were injured. Details on their injuries were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.

Authorities said the helicopter was associated with an annual “Cars and Copters” charity gathering planned for the following day.
