Peacemaker Season 2 Last Episode to Resolve Major Viewer Grievance, James Gunn Confirms
While the reception for Peacemaker season 2 has been largely favorable, with viewers and reviewers applauding the performances and plot—even if the major revelation in episode 7 didn't come as a shock—a particular criticism has only grown stronger as the season continues: decreasing episode runtimes.
Over the past few episodes, audience members have voiced frustration over the noticeably shorter episode lengths in season 2, and it's true, the episodes have been getting shorter and shorter. The seventh episode, called “Like a Keith in the Night,” lasted only 28 minutes (excluding the recap, title sequence, and end credits), making it the shortest episode so far.

Although this is encouraging, it's unknown exactly how much of the runtime will be actual new footage, uncluttered by intro and outro segments, or recaps of previous events. However, should the finale contains all the aforementioned filler, that would still allow for roughly three-quarters of an hour for the concluding episode, which is a big upgrade after episode 7.
The director earlier teased that the last episode would not only wrap up Peacemaker but also give a hint towards the direction the broader DC Universe at large will be heading and serve as a prequel of sorts for the next Superman movie. Considering the brief appearance of the actor's portrayal of Lex Luthor from episode 6, fans expect a exciting guest appearance to cap off the show.
The show's finale, the eighth episode, is called "The Full Nelson," and audiences must wait to see if fans' suspicions are confirmed.
