The Dutch manager has announced that the club's hierarchy agree with his assessment regarding the team's slump and he will not abandon their offensive approach in quest for a solution. The manager admitted that six defeats in seven games was not good enough ahead of Aston Villa's visit.

"Against Manchester United, how many openings did we give up? When playing Frankfurt when we were 3-1 up, we barely allowed a shot on target. In each fixture we played until now we haven't conceded a lot of chances. Not at all. We do allow a somewhat more than last season but that has to do with us being behind early so you take a bit more risk. But typically I don't feel that our issue is that we allow too many opportunities. Our challenge is we don't score the opportunities we generate."
